A time when coal, steam and compartment carriages where the best way to ravel. Just 30 minutes drive from Katoomba CBD, the Zig Zag railway station is located at Clarence, where you can also enjoy picnic and BBQ facilities, browse the souvenir shop or take a bush walk.

The annual Blue Mountains Folk Festival in March, is yet another local event that draws crowds from near and far. Enjoy the talents of a great range of acclaimed artists, covering folk, roots and blues over this three day event, featuring artists from around the world and Australia.

Another great attraction of the Festival is the selection of workshops, demonstrations, instrument making, arts, crafts and the mouth watering food fair.
